Filip Slapal

Filip Slapal was born in 1972 in Prague. Amateur photography and interest in fine art was always present in his family so Filip's early decision to become a professional photographer came as no surprise. He graduated at FAMU in 1997 and soon established himself as one of the most sought after architecture and still life photographers in the Czech Republic. In Filip's images buildings and objects come to life in a finely detailed yet almost fanciful way. He effortlessly makes sublime things grander and everyday ones unexpectedly luxurious. His work has been commissioned by architects such as 3DH, Amos, Burian Krivinka, DUMA, Jiran Kohout, Kuba Pilar, Machoninova, Mimolimit, Olgoj Chorchoj, Pelcak, RAW, Sipek, Takenaka and many more. Hotels such as Metropol, KK Hotels, Mandarin Oriental, Yasmin and Buddha Bar also often seek his services. Filip frequently shoots for Wall Paper, Dolce Vita, Elle, Elle decor, A10, Abitare, Era 21, Frame and many others.
